ABOUT OUR COMPANY: Founded over 60 years ago, we are a well-established and well respected multifaceted full service mechanical contracting company located in Woburn Massachusetts. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our expanding team. Specializing in commercial, Industrial and Life Science Projects, we are seeking someone who has experience across all ends of this spectrum.

Job Summary: 

We currently have an opening for a solid candidate with at least 5-10 years’ experience in commercial plumbing, process piping, gas piping and mechanical estimating – Project Management experience is a plus. Our typical clients are in the commercial, institutional, higher education, life-sciences, and industrial project market verticals. This position will be based in our Woburn, MA office and the salary is commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, organizational and communication skills. Base from: $100,000 – $120,000 per year. 

What You Need:

Education: 

• 5+ years of Commercial plumbing estimating experience. Prior plumbing experience in the field is a plus.
• Must have strong computer skills and familiar with MS Office, project management and estimating software – FastPipe preferred.
• The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• B.S Degree / Advanced technical training preferred, but not required based on industry experience. Relevant work experience will be highly considered.

What you will be doing: 

• You will read and understand drawings, prepare RFI’s, submittals, solicit subcontractors and price material and equipment for new construction projects
• Perform detailed plan take-offs from drawings and prepare final estimates. Review all problems with take-off conditions, document interpretation and provide an analysis to the Project Manager for direction
• Prepare, coordinate, and convey project related instructions, information, questions, and clarifications between management and various vendors / subcontractors’ quotations and unusual labor situations
• Review all reported document scope and take-off inconsistencies and provide direction to estimating department that is in keeping within procedures
• Review the estimate prior to bid wrap-up to ensure accuracy and completeness qualifications
• Attend project site walkthroughs if / when required
