Business Development Specialist

ABOUT OUR COMPANY: Founded over 60 years ago, we are a well-established and well respected multifaceted full service mechanical contracting company located in Woburn Massachusetts. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our expanding team. Specializing in commercial, Industrial and Life Science Projects, we are seeking someone who has experience across all ends of this spectrum.

Job Summary

We currently have an opening for a solid candidate with at least 5-10 years’ experience in Business development in commercial plumbing, process piping, gas piping and mechanical /HVAC verticals. Project Management experience is a plus. Our typical clients are in the commercial, institutional, higher education, life-sciences, and industrial project markets. This position will be based in our Woburn, MA office and the salary is commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, organizational and communication skills. Base from: $100,000 – $120,000 per year with opportunity for commission.

What You Need:

Education: 

  • 5+ years of Business Development experience. Commercial mechanical contracting experience and knowledge is a plus.
  • Desire to help grow new business with a pioneering and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Possess the ability to identify the right contacts, creating opportunities for Account mining.
  • Responsible for sales & business development activities across mechanical contracting services.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers and relationships as well as strengthening and continuing to foster existing relationships.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be familiar with MS Office Suite, project management and CRM software – MS 365 preferred.
  • The ability to develop, manage, track and close on multiple leads in a fast-paced environment.
  • B.S Degree / Advanced technical training preferred, but not required based on industry experience. Relevant work experience will be highly considered.

 

What you will be doing

  • Become the product, category and industry expert and use the knowledge to lead in key customer meetings. Must be able to address needs, questions, and recommend ideas to move the business forward.
  • Align actions to department and company vision, mission, strategy, and objectives.
  • Establish and manage relationships with customer key stakeholders, with an objective to drive sales initiatives and go-to-market plans.
  • Perform quantitative analysis, and develop proposals, SOW, contract negotiations, program development either in the capacity of assisting a larger team or as an individual contributor.
  • Utilize strong account management skills to build effective customer partnerships, achieving high customer satisfaction.
  • Business development and cooperation in the development of specific customer strategies and initiation, implementation and tracking of customer-specific marketing measures and representation at trade fairs.
