About Dan-Cel Co.
Located in Woburn, Massachusetts, Dan-Cel Mechanical Contracting Inc. put its first truck on the road in 1959 under the ownership of Daniel B. Cellucci principally operating in the Plumbing Contractors industry within the Construction – Special Trade Contractors sector. Mr. Cellucci grew the company’s business and reputation exponentially over the next 57 years. He was known throughout the New England region as a contractor who ran his business with integrity, honesty and respect for all, which remain 3 of our core values today. Mr. Cellucci would think nothing of starting a million-dollar job on a handshake alone. His family and the business were his passion and this passion continues to be reflected in the quality of work we have been producing since day one.
Recognized as an industry leader, Dan-Cel Co. has earned the reputation for being a trusted, innovative, client focused solutions provider. From that first truck, growing to employing 31 plumbers and a support staff of 5, Mr. Cellucci laid the solid bedrock for the next chapter of Dan-Cel. That chapter began when current owner Fred Prezioso sold his company, Anthony’s Plumbing and Heating to Mr. Cellucci, and joined the company as a Sr. PM. and officer of the company in 2002.
A seminal event occurred in 2016 when Mr. Cellucci retired and sold the company to Fred Prezioso. Under Fred’s leadership Dan-Cel has grown from an installation services contractor into a high-value solutions provider of design build mechanical plumbing and engineering services. As an exciting new generation of technology options become available, Dan-Cel is at the forefront of converging and implementing these technologies to best meet the needs of our client’s in the Life Science, Education, Retail, Food Service, Healthcare, Industrial, Corporate, and Property Management verticals. Operating as MPK Enterprises Inc., d/b/a Dan-Cel Company, we currently have over 50 plumbers and a support staff of 12 employees. A recent move to our new corporate offices in Woburn doubles our facility footprint to better serve our clients.

Our Recent Awards
ABC’s Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Recognizes the Best of 2019. Dan-Cel was privileged to be the plumbing specialty subcontractor working for Kaplan Construction on a challenging two-phased project to create a multi-generational, inclusive center for Jewish learning and worship for Congregation Kehillath Israel in Brookline MA. Owner: Congregation Kehillath Israel, General Contractor: Kaplan Construction, Architect: Handlin, Garrahan & Associates. Not only was this project recognized with the Pinnacle ABC of MA award for the year, The Eagle Award, It also went on to win a National Award for Excellence in Construction (EIC) for the project as well. The EIC awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. It was a humbling experience to work with Kaplan and the other trades in playing a small role in a very special project.
Dan-Cel was a proud to be a part of the award-winning Middlesex School – Bass Arts Pavilion and Danoff Visual Arts Center project in Concord, MA. Owner: Middlesex School, General Contractor: C.E. Floyd Company, Architect CBT Architects. The ABC of Massachusetts recognized the work on this project with an Excellence in Construction Merit Award for the C.E. Floyd Team. Dan-Cel’s contribution for providing all the mechanical plumbing for the facility was also recognized with a Certificate of Excellence Award at the annual ABC Awards banquet in November.
